Unveiling Fake Lean Manufacturing Practices

I created this video to discuss and highlight a controversial subject in the continuous improvement field, which are Fake Lean Manufacturing and its Practices. There are two categories of people in the lean manufacturing world. There are "Proclaimers" who make declarative statements about lean manufacturing based on their academic knowledge or “know-that” developed through learning. Then there are “Practitioners” who practice what they preach because it is based on procedural knowledge or “know-how” developed through years of hands-on experience working in the Gemba. The ideal lean manufacturing expert is someone who has a combination of “know-that" and “know-how.”
